Hi Writers,
Sometimes we get questions about formatting short stories and article submissions for journals. Here's a great website that you can look to for guidance. The journal to which I sent a submission the other day had this reference in their submission requirements. Most journals prefer this format, but as always, make sure you read the submission instructions of each journal before you submit.
https://www.shunn.net/format/story/1/
ps. This is the format we require for submissions to our Critique Workshop Nights. Happy Writing!
Christopher Alden, BVWG Secretary

Share your thoughts about AI created works!
The US Copyright Office is seeking public comments on how works created by Machine Learning (called AI works) should be treated. Thousands of non-fiction books generated by AI are currently flooding Amazon (in one case, books falsely attributed to an established author.) The deadline is October 18, 2023.

I am looking for an experienced, talented, local writer to be the Content Coordinator/Editor for Chadds Ford Neighbors magazine. I thought that maybe if you knew someone who might be interested, you could connect them to me. The job is a 10-20 hour a month position that pays $500 a month to start. The primary responsibilities are to write a 1500 word cover story about a local family or organization, put together the Calendar of Events and gather content from local museums and organizations. We highlight local artists, history, students and pleasantries like these. There are no politics, religion or controversies in the magazine---no news, just niceties.
Chadds Ford Neighbors has been in print for 5 years and is mailed monthly to over 5700 homes in Chadds Ford, Pocopson, Pennsbury and part of Thornbury townships. We are always happy to print any news about your books, publishing events or anything you think would be appropriate for the magazine.
Thank you for any help, any ideas you may have about a new Editor for Chadds Ford Neighbors!
