The three Critique Groups contain about 5-7 members each, that write in a variety of genres including poetry, non-fiction, adolescent fiction, science fiction, historic fiction and regular fiction. As to date, we do not have a Critique Group that focuses on a single genre, but there’s always opportunities to develop a Critique Group with other BVWG members that suits your needs.
Critique Group Members Should:
• Have a work in progress
• Be serious about writing
• Have a commitment to becoming a better writer
• Be able to participate constructively
• Show respect for others
Critique Group participants submit their personal writing for feedback and constructive criticism. The informal group atmosphere provides a safe environment for obtaining reaction to personal writing. Any BVWG member interested in developing or joining a critique group, contact: info@BVWG.org.
BVWG also hosts an annual Critiquing Night during which all group members can participate.
